    Description
Junction City newspaper article on AF's appointment to the DOL includes a bio. 1941 his father was assigned to Fort Riley. In his senior year at Washburn he was small-college all-American. Mary was the "daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Harden [of Junction City] but who was raised by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Harden. Oliver Harden and his mother now live in Washington." Refers to "Junction City relatives" still extant who "believed that Sgt. and Mrs. Fletcher [parents of AF] still make their home in Los Angeles." These relatives are listed as both "on the Harden side, "C.H. Smith, 615 West Twelfth, is a third cousin, and Foster Harden, 240 East Eleventh, was an uncle of Mrs. Fletcher."
