A reporter for the Seattle AP sends AF a survey for elected Black officials and informs him that the same is being sent to Sam Smith, the Seattle Black city councilman elected simultaneously to AF. Includes the statement "We understand that your elective position is non-partisan, but for purposes of this survey have you been active i politics in either major party and if so which one?" AF wrote in the margins, "In answer to this question, please see attached press release." [1968/2/0 Councilman may run for Lt. Governor.]
