More details on the strike over the employment of Jesse Oliver on the Veterans Stadium project in Philly. He's the father of five, and, ironically, a veteran. This appears to be a dispute over control of hiring; the union is retaliating against the contractor, Westinghouse Corporation Elevator Division, for not hiring its men, by refusing to issue a permit for Oliver. In the meantime, pending a DOL resolution under the RPP, Westinghouse has hired Oliver as an office worker.
