dc.description | On the eve of the primary, AF talks about fundraising. It has been a six-mionth campaign and during the first four months he only got $1,000, from family and friends. But "[t]hen the campaign began to catch fire, particularly when my self-help and self-determination concepts became nationally recognized," resulting in an additional $14,000 in the final two months. AF notes that he's spent $17,000 on the primary ($2,000 over donations) but that his 2000 volunteers have contributed the equivalent of "a human investment of $50,000 in sweat equity and ingenuity...." | |
